Trash & Recycling
All Trash, recycling, large item, and yard waste collections are made on Thursdays. In the event of Thursday being a holiday(Thanksgiving) Collections will be made on Friday. Also if Christmas and New Years Day is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, collections will also be on Friday.
Trash
Each customer is provided with a 95 gallon wheeled cart by Reliable Sanitation. These carts are property of Reliable Sanitation. All trash must be in the cart to be picked up and no additional cans will be picked up. The week after Christmas additional bags will be picked up. The cart must be placed properly so that the truck can pick them up. Please abide by the following to help facilitate the emptying of the Cart in its entirety:
~ Please place the Cart at least 4 feet from recycling cart, tree, mailbox, electric pole, fire hydrant, etc and at least 10 feet away from any car parked in the street so the garbage truck can reach the Cart. Place the handle of the Cart facing toward the house.
~ Do not overload the Cart. If the lid is not closed, garbage will spill on the road. Overloaded Carts will not be emptied.
~ Do not lean anything against the Cart.
~ Remember to place the handle of the Cart facing toward the house.
~ Your Cart should be placed out the night before collection or not later than 6:00 a.m. the day of collection (Thursday).
Please remember it is your responsibility to place your Cart curbside during the time frame described above. Please remove cart in a timely manor after trash has been picked up. Items not accepted in this trash container include… hazardous wastes, dirt, rock, soil, landscape waste, flammables (gas, oil, paint, hot ashes, coals) Muriatic acid, pool chemicals, concrete, construction debris.
For your children’s safety, do not allow them to play on or near Carts.
Recycling

RINSE RECYCLABLES THOROUGHLY-Items accepted include… PAPER – Newspaper & inserts, magazines, shopping catalogs, junk mail, office paper, wrapping paper, etc. GLASS JARS & BOTTLES – Brown, green & clear (No light bulbs or window pane glass) TIN/STEEL CANS – Soup & vegetable cans (No scrap metal) CURROGATED CARDBOARD – Please break-down boxes. We also accept single-ply cardboard (cereal boxes, soda & beer cartons) ALUNIMUM CANS – Beer & soda cans PLASTICS – Household plastic containers – #1 thru #7 (look for the recycling logo, it will show the number) milk jugs, 2 liter soda bottles, juice & detergent containers, etc. These items are mixed together and will be sorted at the plant(1 container for all)

Yard Waste
Will be 3 times a year on a Thursday. These dates will be posted in advance and printed on the utility bill. Yard wastes must be placed in paper (Kraft) yard waste bags available at most hardware stores and department stores. These bags are usually 30 gallon in size. Each address is limited to 10 bags on the pick-up day. These bags can be filled with grass clippings, weeds, leaves, garden waste, brush and small branches.
Large Items
Large items will be picked up 3 times a year on a Thursday. These dates will be posted in advance and printed on the utility bill. Each address is limited to 3 items. Items NOT accepted include carpet, doors, windows, toilets, bathtubs, sinks, countertops, concrete, drywall, paneling, tires, batteries, pianos, organs, window panes, pool tables, car parts, pools, basketball hoops with large stands, riding lawn mowers, arcade games, and chemicals.
