Village Park
The Hecker Village Park is next to the Village Hall on North Second Street. The park features two playground areas, a half basketball court, a small pavilion, and a restroom facility.
The park pavilion will be available for reservations on weekends from April 1st through October 31st and the holidays of Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. Pavilion reservations will be accepted by phone at 618-473-2300 Ext. 12 at a first come first serve basis. The pavilion will be reserved if a reservation is made and a fee paid at least one week prior to the reservation date. Village of Hecker residents may reserve the pavilion at a rate of $15 per day and out of town residents may reserve at a rate of $25 per day. Use of the pavilion includes water and electric. Pavilion is to be used only during the park hours of dawn until dusk. This pavilion reservation includes making only the pavilion private for that day and the rest of the park is open to the public.There are signs on either end of the pavilion that read either “Open” or “Reserved”. If the pavilion is not reserved for a day it is available first come first serve at no charge. Reservations are for private events only. Any other events must be approved by the village board of trustees.
